Hey, anybody ever relocate the left grip air reservoir to another location on a 94' (or maybe '96) or older Electra GlideUltra Classic?
I cannot find new heated grips that will fit with this fitting there. Harley has dicontinued even regular (non-heated) replacement grips for this bike!
J & P told me to move it (the air fitting) to the "crash bars", but they don't sell a relocation kit or have any links to offer.
Although the weather in the NE is warm still as I write this, I would still like (need)to ride when theres a bit of a chill (or freeze) in the air!
Another option is a heated grip set (1") for a bike with a handlebar air reservoir, if such a thing exists...
Haven't done it with the handle bars but made an air reservoir for my police seat out of 1000 psi plasic pipe. Glued caps on each end, drilled the end & tapped it for the filler. You won't be running more than 1000 psi & this lets you make the size tank you need for the application. I have mine tie wrapped under a side cover.
Why not go with heated gloves? I have been told that my 96 EG can be 'converted' using a later model fork set if the seals and anti dive unit fails.
I know the 01 FLHTs use an air damper system, but it does not use the anti dive selenoid. The Nostalgia Grips I put on my 96 had the schrader valve hole.
