Was just out wipeing down the bike and noticed there is a small tear on my passanger backrest about a half in.long. I don't know how it happen but anybody know how to repair it, short of a new seat? The bike is new with about 1500 mile on it.

Permatex makes a vinyl/leather repair kit you can purchase in most local auto parts stores or on line.

 

That happened to me last year. Took it to the local auto upholstery shop he replaced the piece that was torn and put memory foam in it for 100.00

 

Mean City will repair it, they charge about $50 to repair, plus you have to pay shipping both ways. I was quoted $90 locally for a vinyl repair, MC seemed like a much better deal, plus if you want you can get the seat modded at the same time, shipping is a big part of the cost for some of the mods.

 

I just had a small tear repaired by DR Vinyl. He came to my house and fixed it for $45.00 cash.

 

I'd give the Permatex Vinyl Repair Kit a shot first. I had a small tear in the corner of my TP backrest. Been good to go for the past 6 months.
