I'm a new HD 07 SG owner and have read a few posts about aftermarket products to improve stability such as Tru-Trac and ride-Str8. Just wondering if anyone has installed these and if it is really necessary. I haven't experienced any issues with handling yet, but I only have about 2k miles on the bike. Just wondering if I am at risk of having a problem in the future next time I am cornering at freeway speeds...
Thanks in advance for any advice you may have on this.
I have a true-track on my 06 CVO SE UC and my 05 UC. I won't ride without one. However, I don't ride freeway speeds. I have found that without a true-track at speeds over 90 a wobble is present. Annoying but not a problem until I go past 115 where it turns into a bit of a tank slapper. With the true-track I top end at 128 with no wobble.
At freeway speeds you may have a rear steer effect if you go into a hard corner with weight.
Again, I won't ride hard and fast on any of MOCO's HOG's that have the rubber mounted swing arm without the true-track. Best wishes if you do.
I have no experience with the STR8 but have heard it works well also.
i have a truetrack...its very nice...kdietz has a ridestr8, its also very nice...both cost bout the same...both do the same thing...it was definitely worth the money...buy one, you'll be happy you did
