Added vented fairing lowers this weekend. Only put on 150mi or so, but so far so good. Put the magnetic doors on right away. Need to get glove box liners next. No plans to put speakers down there, I appreciate the storage more at the moment. Also installed with the quick release kit, although I hope I have no need to take them off. Get right side was a bit of a PITA to get on, mostly because of the rear brake master cylinder. Just in the wrong spot. Plus it took me a bit to dial my highway pegs back in tight to the fairing.
Before the "this thread is worthless without pictures" posts start, here are some pics:
Nice! Looks great! I like the look of the lowers myself. As far as what to store in them.... before I put speakers in mine I had toilet paper (in a sealable bag) in the left one and shop rags in the right one.

Found a set of lowers that came off of a 98 ultra. Put them on my 06 SG and they fit perfect. Had an upholstery shop replace the leather and snaps. Was backing the scoot out of the garage and turned hard right. Damn signal lights hit the top of the lowers and takes away about 20% of my steering. Not a big deal when driving around but could use that extra steering for plots. No solution yet. Any ideas. Btw ur bike looks sweet.
