Had a lady look me right in the eye and then she proceeded to pull out in front of me this weekend. I ride pretty defensively so I was able to avoid her but it was still one of the OMG moments. I went to blast my horn at her while my heart rate was still above 200... but I was only able to give her the left turning signal. That didn’t really get my point across and it’s not the first time I’ve had that happen.

I need help figuring out how to put a sphincter switch in my seat. Just about any time my a$$ grabs seat leather is a good time to use the horn… pucker up and the horn goes off. With all the good ideas in this forum I sure somebody has already solved this one before.

I just use my horn a lot and got used to it. I got in the habit of riding with my thumb flaoting over the horn button. May have been obnoxious but at least I get people's attention. When in doubt - honk.

Downside - everytime I turn left I honk.

Man, isn't that a pisser when that happens!? I was on my Sportster about a week ago and a guy in the oncoming lane was turning left across my lane, he stopped and waited for me like he should but another guy was trying to turn left into my lane from the side street (to my left) and couldn't because of the guy that was waiting for me. Any normal driver would of course have realized there must be traffic and that it would be prudent to wait until it clears to turn, but not this a-hole. He cut BEHIND the guy that was waiting for me just as I was going by and came about 2' from hitting me. He couldn't see a damned thing because he was cutting behind the other car. I had to jump on my brakes, swerve onto the shoulder and at the same time gave him a healthy dose of horn, but of course he had ZERO reaction, just kept right on his merry way so that I had no room at all and had to come to a stop until he passed by. I pulled back on the road behind him and OF COURSE he was talking on the phone. Excellent. It's times like that when I'm thankful that I don't carry a gun because my kids don't need me in jail.
