Thinking about relocating that damn thing ! Tired of going for the left turn signal and hitting the horn by mistake , the " beep " is no problem but the sudden vibration on the inside of my left thigh is somewhat startling when unexpected . Anybody else out there have this experience ? Thinking the best spot to relocate to might be the downtube , anyone have some pics of a relocated horn or of the area of the stock location after its been moved ? Wondering if it leaves a empty/ugly spot ?
If you think the horn is a problem when you wanted to turn left, what do you think when you kill the engine making a right?
I've had that happen only once. I was going 85+mph passing an RV on I-90 in Idaho, and signaling to get back in line. Gut reaction at that instant was to toggle the switch, but when I did the engine gave out a huge KABLOOM as all the unburnt gas ignited. The engine sputtered for a few moments and I thought for sure I'd literally killed the engine, but the thought of that huge RV and attached boat or car gaining back on me from behind made me keep going and not pull over.
Now there is an inconvenience. I watch my thumbs pretty good after that.
Never hit the kill switch , YET , and nothing hangs low enough to benefit from the vibrations ! Guess I just need to look at what I'm pushing , only rarely use my blinkers and only in heavy traffic . No time to loose concentration on the road or cagers , them cell phone talking females can get ya in the blink of an eye !
