I installed a pair of Khrome Werks Sweeper +2 bars on my Electra Glide this weekend. I like the wrist angle but am noticing that my elbows feel almost "stretched" after riding for a while.
I left about a 3/8" gap between the inner fairing and the bars when I installed them. Is this about where any of you running Sweepers have them set?
Looking at them I think moving them further from the fairing (dropping them down) might move them closer to me but not sure if they'd be too low then.
Or, do you just have to get used to them after running bars with a bad wrist angle for years?
I don't have these bars but if you feel like your reaching too far stand to the side of the bike and look at the imaginary 'arc' the bars would make if you adjusted them back towards you, and if not optimum, lower the bars a bit.
Just a heads up that you will reach a point where 'too low' means you are giving up the pull back you gained by lowering them.
I have the 300515 on my '09 with about 3/8" like you.
I had the 300505 on my '06 Standard with about 1/8" between the fairing and bars.
I kinda liked the closer setting as the wrist angle was a bit better , but lower brings the bars back a bit more.
Just a hit and miss thing for your particular physical build I guess.
I changed to a lower seat on the '09 and they feel just about right now.
Just gotta play with them to get em perfect.

I dropped them down a little this morning so will see how it goes. If not good I may try the 2+2 version. I hear they'll fit the older bikes but am not sure.

Thanks. The way these sweep back it wouldn't take much to go past the point of gaining pullback (or being low enough for the throttle cables to hit the tank when turned all the way to the right.
