Just put v-rod spark plugs in my 08 ultra. I have a 103 with 200 crank pressure. A buddy recommended the v-rod plugs so figue worth a try. Gapped at 40 will let you know if any better performance. I don't think I'll notice but we will see.
Ive ran NGK plugs for a long time with no complains. I was recently given a set of V-Rod HD Plat plugs, the NGKs were a year + old and figured no harm done so they're in now. I got about 200 mi on them, I can't feel any difference so Ill check them later in the year.
Sorry, but there is no way you can "feel" any difference in power by merely changing type of spark plug- unless your old plugs were severely worn or carboned up or something.
I've found it's best to stick to the plain old HD plugs that are meant for your model. This ensures the ion sensing feature (knock sensor) continues to work correctly.
The only advantage of the iridium plugs is that they will last longer before you have to change them, but for me I don't care- I change my plugs every spring or more because they are cheap and very easy to install.
