I have a 2012 Ultra CVO and I have the quick disconnect hardware from my last bike. Need to relocate the stock amplifier that is attached to the bottom of the tour pack. Has anyone done this or have suggestion on the best place to put it. Comes mounted in the fairing of SE FLHX.
I considered the same move for my 2011 FLHTCUSE6. Hope you have better luck on this one than I did. YOu can't just disconnect it either, the system won't function. My solution was to trade the CVO bike in on another SG....
Also have a CVO '12 Ultra. Why would you bother taking off the tour pak? I just get on the Sportster if I want to scoot around town without the bags which is becoming a rare event.
Thanks for the info. Kind of what I thought. Guess I have to look for different scooter for bar hoping.
Gosh; you give up easily.
If you go to cvoharley.com, you'll find a couple of relatively simple solutions to the issue of relocating the amp while retaining full audio functionality. Heck, you might even find them here if you used the search function.
Removing the tour pak and using an appropriate replacement seat makes for an exceptional bike; like two for the price of one.
