Default eBay lowering kit?

Wanted to lower my sg an inch or so. They sell several different brands on eBay for around $17-25. Changes the lower shock bolt mounting position. Are these things any good? LA Choppers sells a 1" kit for just under $89? Why the price diff? Any negative side effects from doing a 1-2" lowering?
I'm looking on eBay at Item #: 180414226061 or something close to it.

I use the Road6 Custom lowering kit - works good for me and I haven't had any issues. Don't know about the specific kit you are looking at.

I'm using the Road6Customs kit I bought off Ebay in December of 08. I bought the kit for my 09 EGC. I was riding twoup and had no problems in the 1 and 2 inch setting's. (Don't use the 3 inch setting for fear of hitting wiring in rear fender) I used the set on a 08 Ultra Classic and now my 2010 RK. The kit is now 3 1/2 years old and no problems to date. They only change the shock angle about 5 degree's. The ride quality didn't change at all. They are in the second hole 2 inches lower in this picture.

+1 on the Road6 lowering kit. I'm using them along with 11.5" Progressive 412 HD shocks, good ride and a good slammed look.

I think they are a cheap way to see if you like the lowered ride height before you go and spend a lot more money. To be honest that's why I got them. Since no issues yet, they are staying on.

I used the Burly Slammer Kit which replaces the front springs and rear shocks. I like it, it looks cool but the ride is not as nice. Tolerable, but I think that if you keep your rear shocks and move that lower mount back you'll enjoy the ride a lot better.
