Can see where this would really be a **** off. Ashame to see the quality drop, but worse yet see the follow-up service even drop farther. Not alot of pride anymore in what is done, whether it be building it or fixin it.

On my 2010 Ultra I installed 577 Wild Ones and noticed the bar on the right side looks like it is up slightly higher than the left side. I am talking about where the bar comes out of the opening of the fairing. I sent a picture to John at Wild Ones and he said it is common that a fairing be out of alignment an inch or so. I decided not to pursue it but it does bug me a little.

Holy moly.....normal to be crooked...that sucks.
I will drop by my dealer and have them check my bike out. Expecting a " there is no problem" answer.

Hey chappy: hope you don't mind me riding along on your thread, since we apparently have the same fairing problem

Loosen the four bolts that hold the inner fairing to the forks...it will move round some. Mine was tweeked some, one side of the inner was closer to bars I had put on, and I was able to get some play this way.

Also remember that if you use stock controls and mirrors on them the mounts are not same left to right...which will give a funky look from front and side looking at mirror line up.

Well aside from all the comments about unions, etc., it would appear to me the entire setup is out of whack. Since the inner and outer fairing, for all practical purposes, are one, there is no adjustment one can make. It would seem to me the entire front end needs to be pulled and readjusted to square up the contact points. If it appears the bike is tracking straight but the fairing seems to be off center visually, I would think that could be corrected by removing the fairing completely, readjustment of the contact points and replaced. If the bike is not tracking straight, then that is a entirely different matter. In any case, this is without doubt a warranty issue and needs to be dealt with by the dealership and \or directly with the factory. You have a problem that needs attention. I would not take the dealership just passing on the problem saying all is fine. You have some paper work to do to document the issue. Certified letters and calls are in your future.

I agree with you, after I visit all the dealers withing 70 miles of home (6-8 delers), I might have to pursue this on a higher rung on the latter of H-D corporate. I've been around and owned and rode harleys long enough to know it's most likely an uphill battle the higher I go with my complaint. I have fought city hall on other problems in other areas of life and have won. But, only after much time spent researching the issue and being diligent in letter writing. I have found that most people that have a legitimate complaint will more times than not, show up at a dealer, yell and maybe slamb their hand on the counter then just go home. As a result their complaint more times than not will not achieve positive results. Because I know and understand that, I also understand that dealers are counting on and hoping for the complainant will just go away. Sadly most dealers want the higher rate received in the shop rather than receiving the much lower rate that they receive from mother Harley for warranty work. They look at the lift as a money maker only. Because of this type of business philosphy there is many Harley Dealers I wouldn't buy a quart of oil from.
Thanks for your input

This should work for your fairing. Most dealers do not care about small things like this, try it yourself.

I have followed four wheels where the vehicle is going straight but the back two tires are offset from the front. suppose your backend is offline, you would adjust steering and the fairing is now off. just guessing
