What's the difference between the two point docking and four point docking kit?
Is four better, faster and/or stronger?
Do you have more options for mounting "stuff" on your motorcycle with a four point mount than you do with a two point mount?
If all I wanted to do was, every once in a while, put on a passenger back rest or a small luggage rack would a two point mount do the trick or should I just go with the four point and be done with it?
What's up with this?
In reality it's 4 or 6 point, the first two everyone has, it is part of the upper shock mount.
If you just want a back rest, then two point.
If you want a back rest plus lugauge fack, then four point.
I asked the same question a couple of months ago when I bought my bike. I only needed the 2-point for the backrest but went ahead on got the 4-point for future expansion. I got the magnetic chrome covers to hide the extra, unused docking points.
I actually used the fat baggers relocation set up, it's two only two point but way cleaner looking than factory, you won't even see them when the back rest is not on. They are supposed to be making a compatable lugauge rack.
May not be everyone's cup of tea, but if you like the clean look, just saying.
do they work with the tourpak (set up in solo position)?
Assuming you are refuring to my post about the fat baggers kit.
I don't know, I would think is was possible but I'm quessing, best to contact them for clarifacation.
