On your 2004 RKC. The most comfortable seat I have used one is the pillow look seat. Traded in my 1998 RK with that seat on . Girlfriend beat me up till I bought a replacement pillow look seat. I caved because Its better seat. (I can ride farther and with no butt pain) than the sundowner and a corbin I tried on it. The stock seat blows big time on those bikes. The stock 2 piece seat on the reg RK is way more comfortable than the classic seat is.
I've got a Sundowner Solo and matching pillion on my RK. Be advised, that the Sundowner will scoot you forward a bit. This was true of the Sundowner two-up I had on my 2007 FXDC, and the solo on my 03 FLHRC.
I sent the solo seat off to Mean City, had them take me back 2 inches, and down 1 inch. Rides great. Did over 1K miles in 3 days a couple weeks ago, more comfortable than the stock seat on my 2010 Ultra (which my wife loves BTW)
