Default Amsoil and Inner Primary Bearing

My bike had developed a sound that I didn't like. I took it in to the dealer for that and a 30,000 mile service. They diagnosed a bad primary bearing. When the service writer noted that I wanted Amsoil for my service they told me that they've seen a lot of the bikes that have that problem were also running Amsoil.

So, I thought I'd pose the question to the forum. Of those of you who've had a bad inner primary bearing failure, were you using Amsoil? Or is this service writer imagining things?

I take it your Dealer doesn't sell Amsoil? Did he suggest Syn3?

I don't think it is Amsoil related but my 07 SG that I had at the time needed to have the inner primary bearing replaced. I was running Amsoil in the engine but formula + in the primary.

the oil has nothing to do with it, it's the new cheap style bearing they use. They need to go back to the old style that was on the 5 speeds.

Probably a cheaper bearing like previous post. Kinda like INA bearings for the inner cams.
