passenger floorboard rattle

passenger floorboard rattle
One of the passenger floorboards rattles in the up position. I tried to take it apart to see about tightening the pins or adding spacers but couldn't figure out how to get the pins out. Any ideas?

Mine didn't rattle until I lubed the check ball and spring. 
I took it off to see if I could remedy the situation but gave up after a few minute of head scratching. I wound up removing them for now. Somebody, not too long ago, listed the parts that are available to repair it, so I know it's got to come apart.
