Hope to get some opinions from you folks, I am in the process of changing my lighting over to LED. Currently have a Harley LED Headlight and a Harley LED tail light. I like them both but, the Headlight is very focused, if you are in the light it is intense, if not a little subtle during the day. I decided to add Truck-lite phase 6 spots instead of Harley due to reviews stating better day time visibility. Any one done this and have a picture? ( i am having second thoughts).
The second part of my question is even though I like the Harley LED Tail light I see several comments on here that folks are having trouble with the rear LED signals. I would prefer to match my tail light but I could live with another brand if it was more likely to last. Finally, also considering adding the fender tip conversion from custom dynamics, anyone install this on an older bike?
If you want to add even more LEDS and maybe front signals also , check out the Badlands Illuminator module.
This is what I have and what it does is converts the rear directionals to stop/turn/run with any LED brand out there.
This way you have 3 red lights doing work for you in the rear.
You would just have to run red LED and/or red lanses for legality.
The second advantage is if you want to add LED front signals later , it has an automatic load equalizer that just takes care of it for you without further mods.
Just plug it in and go.

I wouldn't mix HD LED headlight and TL passing lights, they simply don't look good together try aiming them properly mine are awesome.CD's front fender light is very bright I also have their LED amber turns front and back , the Plasma rods and a BAL run/brake light.Following another member suggestion I changed the TourPak corner lights to LED,very bright idea!
I see no reason why you shouldn't add the Truck-Lite LEDs and would work perfectly to help the front visibility. Here is a link to a comparison of both the HD LEDs and the Truck-Lite LEDs. With real side by sides which not only shows the visibility side by sides but how their light sheds on the ground at night.
The Truck-lights definitely won't match the HD LED design but, according to the reports and pictures on the link, they should blend in just fine for night driving and be very visible and noticeable in the daytime.
dont have any pics with them lit up but i put CUSTOM DYNAMICS on the front & rear & WOW what a difference. buddy of mine said they look better than the kuryakyn brand that a few other guys have on there bikes we ride with.
i need to get some pics so i can post them up with everything lit up.
@ ESOUMM1 and David wruth, thanks for the pics, they help alot, also ESOUMM1 are those plasma rods?...hmm....
@ MICK I had not considered badlands, I will look at them.
@luisan and DOMAPOI, you have nailed the spots debate going through my head. I like the idea of adding daylight visibility and I like what I read in bogies review about the phase 6's, that is why I ordered them. Having second thoughts about how they will look not function. To be honest I did not think the the Harley spots were a perfect match for the headlight so I am hoping this will work.
The other issue is whether to match my HD led taillight or go with someone else and/or add a fender tip run/brake.
@ CHILLS, would love to see those pictures if you get any. Custom Dynamics is probably first on my non harley list.
The only problem with custom dynamics turn signal running lights is they make standard HD light look dull lol.
not when you change out the head light for HID.....
