What I was told though, is that there ar a few restrictions. One is: it cannot be used in conjunction with a mobile phone interface and two: it does not work with an XM radio.
I am in the process of purchasing one myself and have been doing some digging.
Part numbers are
76000024A Interface module
BC-32010-10 Roadtech zumo 660 (European model)
92238-09 Fairing mount
Hope that this is of any use to you.
Thanks for the feedback. You are correct, it is a Road Tech Zumo 665. I wasn't aware it isn't a Garmin. I thought it was made by Garmin specifically for H-D. Is that not correct?

It's either made by Garmin or under Garmin licence.
Advertizing says that it's "customized for H-D" so I guess it's done on just another workbench at Garmin to make it work with H-D. There's probably some subtle software difference such as dealer locations.

Thank you very much for providing the part number for the NIM. I asked the parts manager about the need for some sort of interface that would allow the spoken directions to be heard through the system speakers or headset, without plugging into the aux port on the front of the radio, but he said everything needed came in the box. I didn't think that was right, but wasn't sure. I just called them and gave the P/N you provided (76000024A), and he confirmed it was an additional option, and one I definitely want.

I believe the XM output and MP3 player will still have to connect to the aux port on the front of the radio, in order to hear it through the speakers.

Yes you will still need the AUX cable to hear the MP3s and XM. The NIM allows the navigation to interrupt the radio and send directions.

Road tech is Garmin, it is the firmware that is different.

I've got the 665 roadtech and love it. About the only time I lose signal is in the garage or when I'm in the city and the buildings block it. I"ve got the XM antenna mounted on top of the radio inside the fairing. I do connect my Iphone via the bluetooth, that way I know if someone is trying to get in touch and can pull over and call them back. I haven't put the NIM in yet, but I'm thinking about getting that and the HDBOMM module.
