Anyone help with this please? Just got a 96 FLTHCU and I can't figure out how the ACC position on the ignition switch is supposed to work.
The handbook says the accessories, hazard warning flasher can be turned on, instrument lights on - brake light and horn can be operated.
If I switch my bike to ACCESS position all the lights stay on including the headlight but the spedometer light goes off (other instrument lights stay on) The horn and brake light do not work.
I just thought the radio/accessories should work. My problem is to run the radio when stopped I have to have all the lights on as well so the battery drains quickly.
Obviously something is wrong and I would appreciate some advice before I start investigating the wiring etc.
Not much help here but to say that my '07 operates the way your handbook states except the four way flashers don't work in the Accessory position. All instrument lights but no idiot lights illuminate.
