+1 on the CFR. There's none deeper IMO and I heard them all. 4" Rineharts come close but not as deep.

it's all subjective- my pal's M/O's sound tinny to me if I am following.
It is annoying for a full day(s) of riding, and I drop back a far ways if he is leading.
From a rider's perspective it is different, and that can be dependent on tips, road surface, barrier walls and even how much crap is in the saddlebags.
And the mechanical condition, displacement, cams, ignition timing, and fuel delivery
Suggest that you might find your perfect match at a bike night or dealer BBQ, go where the bikes are.

Relax, he said they sound tinny TO HIM. I had Rineharts on my bike before switching to CFR and they sounded tinny to me too. Sound is very subjective.

Then perhaps he needs his ears checked! They are very low sounding. I suspect his riding friend does not have MOs.

This is all very ironic...but I have M/O's and want LOUDER pipes! Actually, i want a cheap and LOUD alternate set of slip-on's for rallys and gatherings etc. I'll keep the Ovals for everyday riding since I do try to respect my nieghbors.

Agreed.
M/O's are deep and low...and are anything BUT tinny. BUT, the sound the driver hears and the sound someone 20 ft back hears are going to be different. The sound projects directly rearward (is that a word?) so the driver is spared from the drone.
