Default Too much junk in the trunk

I was determined to find a used RK this winter but wound up with Electra Glide Classic instead. Question...has anyone tried removing the trunk off of a Glide? Is it a pain in the a** or something a "knuckle-buster" like me could do?

Use the trunk a couple of times and you'll leave it on like I did.

Its rather simple, two bolts at the front of the brace and two on the tag mount, unplug the wires and antena wire. You will want to add a slant tag holder for it to look really nice, bought one from a ebay dealer for 15.00, Dont use the one from harley if you want to later add a detachable mount to be able to put on and take off your box because the harley laydown tag mount is to big to use with detachable mount but the ebay ones fit perfect.

Why do you wanna take it off? A friend of mine installed a trunk on his Road Glide. He opted and paid extra for the quick disconnect rack because he figured he'd run the bike without the trunk alot. You guesses what happened. He never takes the trunk off. You get used to the convenience of the trunk and the Electra Glide looks good with the trunk.

I have a '06 Road Glide that I have been looking around for a trunk. If you do decide to take it off and it is taking up space in the garage and you want to sell it, let me know.

Do yourself a favor. Leave it on for 1000 miles before you make the decision to remove it. My money says it stays

I agree, you'll get used to it and won't want to be without it.

some people say no need for detach mount anyway,, you can get real good at takeing on/ off after a little practice.
I am one of those that have got too use to it. I live out of my tour pk.
