i had all my paperwork finished and was doing the walk around for them to explain how everything works on the bike and i hit up the parts manager for a backrest for the ole laady and he asked if i had it in my paperwork i told him no. then he went and got i one and installed it and said, " well i dont know why a street glide came factory with backrest" and i rode off lol and he gave me a 30% off card for my next visit

I agree but you (OP) could ask politely for a break on the installation cost of any accessories you might add at delivery. I bought a docking kit and backrest and had them put on for free. No big deal I know, but money is money!
When I bought my Ultra I asked if I could get a free T shirt for me and my wife. The salesman said if I brought somebody in and they bought a bike, he'd give me the shirts.
That purchase was the last time I've been in that dealership.
