I have a 2008 road king, flhr that keeps stalling and now is shutting off. i have over 20,000 miles on it. i did a stage 1, high flow air kit when i purchased the bike, took stock mufflers off added true duals freedom performance, did not like the exhaust pipes so changed back to stock by dealer. three years later i am having this problem, just changed to vance and hines slip on bike has power but is running rough and stalls now.. I am not mechanically inclined so please advise. some people say install a power commander?? please advise>>

Sounds like a tuning issue, most likely is a tuning issue, but I guess I'd want some confirmation before I threw a several hundred dollar part at the problem(s). In other words, I'd have it checked. If it ran fine with the stock pipes and you still have them, I'd at least put those back on before I rode it a lot more and see if the problem cleared up. Good luck.
a new tuner won't fix an existing electrical or fuel problem, stalling sounds like more than a bad tune, get it fixed then look at tuners,07 08 runn really lean and hot in stock form add pipes and ac and the problem is even worse,i would add a tuner but only after i got it fixed.

Just FYI, I had a bad download from the dealer on mine when I picked it up after they had installed the 103 'performance' package, and it was stalling occasionally, along with running very hot, and popping, etc. The correct download and subsequent tune cleared all that up completely.
I have heard of some bikes rubbing a hole in the fuel line inside the tank causing problems especially when the tank wasn't completely full. Just a thought. A buddy of mine had the same type of problem...When the tank was full no problems but when it was about half full he would have problems with his bike stalling out.
