I've had great luck with white diamond. It goes on as a liquid and dries to a haze like a wax. Also comes off like wax so there isn't tons of rubbing. Can be found at many dealers. Alot of big box hardware stores sell a similar product kept near truck toolboxes.

Chrome Polish is slightly abrasive. It will micro scratch chrome. Just look at it with a halogen lamp after using chrome polish! It may look good at a distance but under the light the story will unfold. Use windex and a microfiber towel to gently clean the chrome pieces. if rubbing the chrome makes you feel better follow up with a coat of wax every now and then. Nothing will seal the chrome on exhaust as it just burns off with heat. Keeping it clean and avoiding rubbing as much as possible will keep your chrome scratch free a lot longer than polishing it. IMHO

I normally don't use chrome polish either, A cleaner wax is better than abrasive polish.

I have been using turtle wax chrome polish for years with great results, easy on, easy off. has not caused a scratch in the 10+ years of me using it.

I like it for the ease of removal, as long as you let it dry comes right off without effort, I do all my chrome after every wash with it.

1- Turle Wax or another chrome polish first to remove the heavy stuff

2- Blue-Job - A very fine white powder thats mixed with a water & used with a rag. It comes in a small jar & is available from most bike shops & dealers. Does not leave visable scratches. Its more work than most others but the final finish is the best.
