I'm not even sure how you guys can where them. [:'(]
The wife got me a pair - I tried them on and decided right then god invented shirts for guys like me and chaps for woman like my wife!
I looked at the mall at wilson leather's for 130 and then drove over to look at the HD one's for 175. I was replacing cheap ones that never fit right and were very thin leather. I bought the HDs and am happy with them. The leather is thicker and the build is much better.
I bought mine 4 years ago at a local guy with a shop in a flea market got them for $80 and they are a thick leather and lined, looks like I will be getting a couple of more years outta them!!!
My wife and I both got Z1Rs thru Drag Specialities. They are top quality and heavy. I use mine alot as I leave for work early and it gets cold. We did a 600 mile trip last weekend and they were a life saver. The weather turned colder than planed (as we did not plan for cold). Between our chaps and wet weather gear we stayed somewhat warm. BTW those little chemical hand warmers that they sell at WalMart are great. Put them in your inside pockets and boots.
Good for you, I quit 05/01, But it,s like giving up sex after 30 yrs. I have the lined chaps from H/D. They are really comfortable and warm. I called the moco on Monday and talked to a lady there and asked why they did not make vented/ little holes/ in their chaps. they have coats and gloves but no chaps. She said nobody ever asked that question before and she said she would bring it up in their next ridegear meeting. She said don,t look for them this spring because it would take longer to get the wheels of progress to turn. Yes!!!
Anything with a HD logo is going to have a heftier price tag since your buying a brand name. I looked at HD chaps and they didn't fit quite right. I ended up picking up a pair at a Hollister rally and another at Costco of all places. Both fit me perfectly.
