This appeared today on my 2012 Ultra Limited on the Harley web site for my VIN number:
Product Notice: 0912: PRD PGM:2012 REGULATORS
Kinda funny, just called my dealer service manager and he had not heard about it, but saw it when I gave him the number. It listed all the bikes at his dealership that had been sold and are affected, but didn't tell him what is to be done! He thanked me to letting him know about it!
where on the website can i look for this on my vin? recall info section? also where can i find my build date?
The build date for my Ultra is on a decal on the front left frame. My 2012 is Dec 2011. The build date for the voltage regulator is on the back left side of the regulator. Mine is 4711 (I assume 47th week of 2011). My bike is on the "Program Notice" list from my dealer. On the link provided in a previous post, you look under the Quick Links for Check Recalls.
