Default Saddlebag latch

The stupid cam on the lock latch fell off on my RGC..... I looked up the parts, and picked up the cam and nut.

When I went to put them on I found a small spring on the floor by the bike. Went back to Ronnie's webpage, and that spring doesn't show up.

Is there a spring in between the cam and the lock?

IIRC there is.Mine fell off also!
Good idea to use some blue Loctite on the nut.

While your in there, you should also check all of the mounting screws for the latch that connect to the bag.
Good idea to lube the hinge springs.

I put the spring under the cam, because it fit perfectly..... and I did use blue locktite.

Checked the screws, because I heard of others having the whole lock fall off.

Funny that the spring doesn't show up on the parts list though.

Yep,I looked also and did not see it.
I think the spring just keeps the tab from rattling.

How was the other side?

Other side was fine..... didn't take it apart. But I did drip a drop of locktite onto the end of the threads. Since it's keyed the locktite seeped in. An ounce of prevention and all that.
