Had the 75449 smooth seat. Too hard for me. If you want a REALLY comfy seat, try the HD Sundowner. NICE!

Like some others made me feel like I was sittin' on gas tank.

Me and the wife just finished a 1820 mile trip to see our son in the Navy, on a 2011 Electra Glide Limited with the stock seat. The day we left, we rode 553 miles and after the first 2 hour stint, I was stopping for rest every hour, to hour and a half. The next day was only 330 miles but I was stopping every hour for rest. The wife was comfortable the whole trip but I was in agony after 60 minutes. When we got there, I tried out a Harley Hammock seat and found it no better and the wife actually thought it worse than the stock seat. I bought an Air Hawk cushion for the return trip and that definitely helped but still had to stop every hour or so. I've been looking at the Mustang Seats and the Ultimate Seats. Still undecided which way to go.

Did CO on Mustang two piece classic solo/pillion, did really well, wife loves the extra sized pillion. Also have a Sundowner, would rate it close but like the availability to drop the pillion and tourpak to go more sport less geezer ride once in awhile.

Not the exact model you asked about, but the Mustang Super Solo and wide pillion can be purchased with the driver backrest. I opted for the non-backrest version since the pillion comes forward and acts as a lower back support for the rider. This seat moves you back about 1.5" and down slightly. This model was a must for me because I couldn't stand that sitting on the tank feeling. This is my 4th Mustang seat on as many bikes. Obviously, I love them. It might be another possible option for you if your original plan doesn't work out.

I will recommend taking a look at the Russell Day Long as well (I bet half my posts on this board are about that seat!)
They are built to your passenger and your specs. Not cheap, and not the most attractive, but they really work. I love mine, so does my wife.

I wish I had read this sooner. I am on my second Mustang seat. Ordered the 79700 Low Profile seat and found it a little too low and too firm, at least for the 70 minutes or so I tested it. Sent it back and ordered the 76033 seat. It should be here Friday and I'm hoping it works out better. The Saddleman folks make a seat that seems like it would be a good one. Called the Road Sofa.
Thanks for the tip.
RG.

I have the Mustang 76033 with the HD Rider's Backrest on a 2011 FLHTK. Just got the seat today and rode it only a few miles, but it seems to be just fine for me. Me and the wife will try it out tomorrow and if anything different, I will post it here. This is my second Mustang, I tried the Low Profile and didn't like it, it lowers the rider ~ 1/2" and feels quite a bit firmer. My bike has already been lowered so I didn't need the extra room and sent the Low Profile back and ordered the Wide Touring 76033. It seems to be about an inch higher than the OEM stock seat and feels comfortable. Did not notice the nose shifting left or right and it seats me in the same position with regards to the handlebars so I am not reaching any further. I hear good things about Mustang so I am hoping this works out.

i want to use my adj harley backrest but i've heard they dont fit well with this seat.
any help will be great.
My HD backrest fit perfectly with this seat. Didn't have to move the bolted on mount or anything, just plug it in. Just got the seat and so far so good.

Glad I found this thread...I have a stock 2011 SG seat..... while I find it somewhat comfortable, if I ride for a while the way it is shaped it must put pressure on a nerve in my thigh that literally causes a pain in the ***! lol And it isn't something that goes away. I haven't ridden for six months and the pain has gone away so I'm pretty sure it is the seat.

In any event I had a wide Mustang seat on my VTX and loved that seat. This 76033 seems to be a seat I'd like but not crazy about it raising me an inch in the seat. I guess it would be the same height as a 2009 or 2010 seat...the 2011 seats are a bit lower.

The Sundowner looks like a nice seat but not sure if it is cut along the same lines as the stock Harley seats..if so I'll have the same issue.
