And to top it off i bought a street glide seat of craigslist and insurance isnt wanting to pay for it cause i didnt get it at a dealer...so i'm out $200
Did you read/check your policy for this bullshit?
I think if anything, you would just need proof like in having receipts.

That really sucks....If there is a bright side, you still have the bike! More often than not they don't take the time to strip it...
that bites tell geico they are no better than thieves if they don't replace your loss. I fly american flag and dont tread on me flag above gareage. Everyone around knows i holster a 45 on my hip exposed. No thieve would dare approach my belongings. Also mounted a trail camera in garage so movement takes a pic of ******* should there be one. Hope you make out for the better
You say you've got a couple of other guys living in the complex, who park their bikes there too. Have they, or anyone else, been burglarized in the past few months?

Sorry about your loss- I hate to hear someone got ripped off by some scum sucking dirtbags, that deserve some whoop-azz justice served up to them via a baseball bat in the worst of ways.
I am sorry, I find it hard to turn the other cheek...
Sorry to hear about your loss, it really sucks, be sure when you get everything replaced to use some more security measures, I know it won't stop some low lifes, but maybe it will slow them down or draw attention.

The trail cam idea is pretty good, hadn't thought of that one!
I would change insurance asap... When my bike + stuff was stolen, my older, established well known insurance co practically begged me to remember what all I had on the bike and in the bags, asked if I had custom paint, etc... when I didn't have the receipts for a couple of the larger items, internet printouts of the items with prices on them were sufficient. They had a settlement check ready within a week. I keep getting offers from Geico at about the same rates I currently have... glad I never switched now.
That sucks... It is such a bad feeling when that happens. I remember being so friggin' mad for a good month... oh, then I got a letter from the LAPD, asking if "I" had learned anything on the recovery of my bike so they can update their records! WTF?? I got pi$$ed all over again!
