Default LED turn ??'s

I asked on the chat forum and got some answers but thought I'd put it here on touring since that is what I have. Looking at LED turn signals, front and rear, and am considering the HD version and the Custom Dynamics. With the CD I would go with their run/turn/brake option. I got a lot of comments that people like the CD versions but what I am looking for is someone with experience with the HD and CD type. How do the intensities compare and angle of viewing. CD had lifetime warranty, HD 1 year which is more than the 50 feet I thought it would be.

I talked to CD and she told me the option also has a switch that you can have the brake version flash 3 times before going steady. I figure that with my BAL-1, when I hit the brakes, the flashing back there should get peoples attention.

You didn't ask about this one so maybe it's against the forum etiquette to recommend a different brand but I'll take my chances.

I have the Kuryakyn Panacea brake light and turn signal package. I saw one on display at a shop and was impressed with how bright it was. The install takes only a few minutes including the brake light and front and rear turn signal's. It comes with a controller that causes the brake light to flash 3 times rapidly and then go on. When using the turn signals, the brake light has an arrow pointing in the direction of the turn also. This thing is extremely bright. I'm very impressed with the setup. It works fine with my bike including the alarm system which I understand can be a problem with some systems. They give you a load equalizer that you plug into the controller depending on if you have the factory alarm or not (I do). And another one if you are using LED's on the front as well as the back (I am). I bought the smoked version which looks really good with my bike (the gray/black). It blends right into the bike color until you light it up.

I am always up for other suggestions and options. Thanks for the info. I already have the BAL-1 so just looking at turn signal options.

Local dealer won't display any after market stuff like that. Got my BAL-1 after seeing it at the HD in Pensacola. Friend had already recommended it though. I think the HD shop in Trussville AL has a LED light display but can't remember which one, thinking CD but not sure.

I am running the Kuryakyn Panacea Tail/Turn/Stop light combination, Kuryakyn front and rear turn signals and Ride Time Technologies Tour Pak Tail/Stop/Progressive Turn Signals.

Here is a short video of the rear end of my 2012 FLHTK if this helps you at all.

I installed this LED light from eBay and the custom dynamics LED conversion for all 4 turn signals. I got all 4 LED's and all 4 lenses as a kit. I also got the triple-play module. It takes maybe 15 minutes to install all the CD stuff, all plug and play. It takes a bit more to wire in the ebay LED light bar. Once done, WOW! the LED's are real bright and there are plenty of them. The triple-play has a small switch to pulse the brakes a few times. If any car is approaching you from rear, just release brake and grab again to keep the LEDs blinking. This is a better setup, in my opinion, than the backoff or other pulsing modules as you dont keep blinking long after the car behind you is stopped.

If you consider the LED bar from eBay, you CANNOT use the stock antenna as there is no way to mount it. You will need another antenna or perhaps tie wrap your antenna to frame adjacent to side pack (as others on this site have done).

Running the HD LED turn signals (run/brake/turn), along with LED brake and tail light. Only issue I had with installation was having to splice in the tail light wire in with the LED turn signals. Had to change out the wires from the original turn signals which came with the kit. Did not have to install any other components. Definitely gets the attention of those behind you.
