At my buddies garage changing out the front tire on my 2006 UC, when we start talking about the factory HC radios. I told him how I got the firmware upgrade and burned a CD and upgraded my 06's radio. I thought it said it upped the amp output/power output and it fixed the contrast issue of being able to wipe it out. My radios screen was blank when I purchased the bike 2nd hand - but I factory reset it and it came back fine. I then did the firmware upgrade once I could see the screen again and it works great.
ANYWAY, he asks me IF this upgrade would work on his father-in-laws 2003 anniversary UC police edition. He knows the radio is stock and has not had the factory upgrade done.
Anyone know if this can be done? The face of the 2003 HC looks different when compared to my 06 HC. Both have CD options. His has CB active but mine is not active.
