Default Problem with Radio
Hey, just picked up a new 2012 Ultra Tuesday. I've noticed that the radio cuts out, sometimes for a few seconds and other times for a minute or longer. I never had this happen with my Street Glide. The salesman told me to move the SPKR button all the way to the back setting instead of the mid-setting because at the mid-setting local CB traffic would interfere. So I did what he said and have the same problem. Anyone else with this issue?

no but I have a 12 sg that loses the left speaker like that,few seconds, few minutes or sometimes longer,sometimes it's just fine

On mine the whole thing goes out. No static, no nothing...just silence.

Check to see if the CB is on and what the squelch is set. When I picked up mine the CB was on and it would cut out the radio.

I just checked and the CB was on. I'll have to test it out tomorrow. Thanks!

Don't be surprised if it still does it. Call site sponsor Iron cross radio and discuss it with them.

Just added the cb to my street glide and had the same problem.

Audio would cut out. Wound up CB was turned on, but to far from the source to broadcast. Just close enough to cut out radio.

Be sure that the weather alert is not turned on. If it is, and you're not tuned to a clear WB channel, it will sound like the radio is cutting out

Just got back from a 100+ mile road and left the radio on the whole time. Problem solved! Thanks everyone.
