I posted a few days ago,that i was have a vibration @ 2000rpm.
I have a 2001 flht. I brought it back to the dealer ,as I just bought it and showed them the bad front mount that I found. Their tech replaced the mount, took it for a ride then said good to go. It vibrates worse now than before! The tech said its a harley thing. It now shakes the fairing and bars at highway speeds as well as as off idle, shifting into 2nd.
Is there any adjustment or possibly was the mount installed wrong? this is my fourth harley and this rubber mounted engine rides like my `91 sportster did!
Any help would be appreciated.
When I have replaced front motor mounts I normally start the bike and let engine settle into the mount as I alternately tighten the hardware. Haven't had any problems with the ones I have done (3 or 4).
