Default help with motor mount!

Recently, I posted about replacing my front lower motor mount on my 05 FLHTCI. I got a few responses; but today I got what I'd call a DEFINITIVE explanation. I described the problem since the new mount as being excessive vibration, a "tightness" that I felt was not right. Some folks suggested "new and tight" was a good thing! Let me assure you, this is NOT the case in this particular situation. What I found out today, from a reliable indy, was that the new motor mount I was sold (by an HD dealer!) is a high performance part....supposed to "last longer" or some such crap. This guy is in Florida, and my brother has used him for many years...he said the guy knew exactly what the problem was from his description, and even described the new mount to him. He said the solution is to go to another dealer and ask for a stock mount. I wanted to put this out here in hopes of saving someone else the aggravation! Among other problems this has caused me, aside from making my riding unpleasant, is the fact that the excessive vibration has ruined my Zumo 550....I suspect there are also problems inside the fairing with broken stuff as well....haven't got in there yet! Anyway, hope this helps somebody down the line.

After i changed mine i broke both fairing brackets, and have a bad vibration in the floorboards. Going to Glide pro motor mount.
