Seriously, if you have that little confidence in her or my skills then why ride with us?
She chose to ride alone, you should let her ride like us guys ride. Stop babying her.

If she cant lead, follow or keep up, she needs to ride alone or back on back of your bike.
If she cannot lead or follow she should ride alone or not at all? Survival of the fittest for all new riders out there? Great plan.

For those of us who have concern and want our wives to learn the right way and enjoy riding, we tend to be somewhat concerned and look to put them in the safe positions while riding, especially in the beginning of the journey (Both literally and figuratively).

We switch up, she leads sometimes, I lead sometimes. If we are in traffic or on crowded PCH, then she asks me to lead. When I lead, I find myself watching my rear view mirror more as I leave a red light than looking forward. When I ride alone, I do it too and find its a bad habit! She's a good rider and I trust her 100%.

My wife and I change it up all the time. A few years ago, we were coming back from Run21 and we were on some twisties heading towards the coast. I thought I kept checking the mirrors but once I looked, she was no longer behind me. I stopped at the side of the road and waited. Nothing, than I turned it around and headed back hoping she had just pulled off the road. It appeared to have been awhile because I came around a corner and I saw flashing lights and a bunch of cars. She had an accident and I was not around when it happened.

Talk about a sickening feeling dropping into my stomach.

As I pulled up, the police told me that they had already called an ambulance. She was laying on her back out in a field with the bike on it's side.

Long story short, the two days of hardcore parting had caught up with her and she was not on her "A" game while cruising around tight turns. She was ok and the bike was ridable. After the hospital did their xrays and checkup, took her back to the bike and she jumped back on.

Moral of the story, If she rides in back, watch those mirrors!

If it's just me and her riding I'm in front left side. If we are riding with a group she is riding in front of me on right side with more people in front of her. She is happy riding that way so that makes me happy.

Your going to find a split vote on this one. Everybody has a story to tell about front or back. If anything happens to her that doesn't happen to you there will be a tendency to say "what if..." and you just can't do that. As one guy said just let her ride like the others.

In town and in traffic, I take the lead. On the highway, I put her in front.

If I had my way I would have her with me, but she loves to ride her bike, so that's how we roll.

I agree that she should be in front of you, but split the lane and stay off to her side.
Not much else you can do.
When I had one, my wife would ride in front and I let her choose the lane. Always felt better behind her. I could watch, hated having to keep an eye out behind if she was behind me.. when allowed, we'd ride side-by-side, but mostly staggered

My Mrs has been up front since she started riding, with the understanding if she puts me to sleep behind her because shes putzin too slow, then I take the lead. Shes very competative so I find myself stomping my throttle on occasion to keep up. It wasnt until I got the RK she would always dust me at take off. Not anymore....LOL. If we find ourselves on a hiway with no one around I will ride next to her in the other lane then file back when a vehicle approaches. I can see her keeping her eye me up there and I can anticipate her lane changes so we are symbiotic that way. Actually in a lot of ways and its not uncommon for us to be thinking the same thing then laughing about bringin up a subject while the other is thinking about it.
