Anyone running True Duals and Screaming Eagle Mufflers #80721-09?
I'm assuming they don't have the catalyst in them? Correct?
I realize they just a hair bit louder compared to stock mufflers. But I heard they offer a bit more of a deeper - throater sound with true duals. Can anyone confirm this?
Have to check the numbers on my SE mufflers but I had them on before I put in V&H dresser duals and yes, IMO, they have a slightly deeper and slightly louder sound but not overly so. Good sound for touring bike listening to tunes. PM me and I will see if I can get some audio for you.
I am running them with my V&H Dresser Duals. They are deeper in tone than stock and louder than stock. I had stock and went to Rineharts which were just too much for the ears. Went to the SE. Nice at all speeds and I can hear the stereo again! I am completely happy with them and got them new for a steal on fleabay.
I just bought a set Tuesday and removed the baffles. Also running true duals. Love the sound without the baffles in. They were too close to stock with them.
I'm curious if SE mufflers intended for "OEM" headers have different baffling in left vs. right muffler. I've seen some manufacturers state that the baffling is different because 70% of the exhaust goes to the right pipe...I would think you wouldn't want to use anything like that on a true dual setup.

Thats a good question???? I wonder if both are baffled the same? If not, I definately don't want them since I'm running true duals.

Subscribed..I already have SE on my bike cuz previous owner put em on but I was going to go TD...never thought of this. I hope this isn't the case.

Mine looked the same right to left. How would you differientate between intended for OEM and not?
