New to the forum but not riding or Harley's. I suppose this question should go somewhere else but I'm pretty frustrated right now.

Have a 2012 Ultra Ltd. that started having the regulator issue in May. Replaced stator and 2 VR's but the problem is back and since I live in Canada I can't get a "new" VR until all the dealers in the U.S. get theirs first. Just wondering if I can throw on another VR from a 2010 to get me on my wheels again? Been off the bike for a month and a half already and summer doesn't last long up here!

Certainly! The VR's are the same across a number of years.

Heading down to Philly tonight to ride a buddy's new ride home for him (1999 Super Glide) so might check out Valley Forge HD to see if they can help me out. I can't see the stator in a 103 putting out more current than a 96 does so I think I might try that. Figure I'll spend a couple hundred bucks but at least I'll be riding again and bring it to the dealer when he finally gets the new VR's.
