Default kaddy Kup mounting on Limited

First an into...

New to Harley, but have been road riding last 15+ years and had dirt bikes as a kid. New to this site and have been watching (and researching) for last few weeks. I did a little searching on this question before posting because I have been a member of other forums and know to search first then ask. However, didn't see much on this specific after market item.

Here is my question...

I have a kaddy Kup that I purchased for a different bike in 2009. It has worked great for me over that last few years and I want to transfer it to my 2012 Electra Glide Ultra Limited. However (with stock bars) I can't find a place to mount it that will not interfere when turning the bars. So I would like to know how other have mounted it, if at all, on stock bars.

I am also looking for bars with more pull back (have a bad back). I am guessing more pull back might give the little extra room that I need to mount the Kaddy Kup. Is that the key?

Any feedback is welcome.

I have a 12 Limited and mounted my Kaddy Cup with no issues. All you have to do is cut off the wire tie nearest the hand grip. It gives the cables just enough slack, and no clearance issues with the tank.

I have stock bars so I can't help you out there. I have found that a backrest helps me out.

What he said,
or they also make a "switch housing bracket" that I had to use because I have a hydraulic clutch and there's just no room on the bar.

I mounted it upside down after I put my Apes on:

That looks like it would do the trick. Thanks for the tip.
