Default The Butt jewelry phenomenon....
I'm curious how many people know someone who never ride their bike. It just sits in their garage and they are always working in it by adding this or adding that. When you try to get them to ride with you, the common response is, hell yeah as soon as I'm finished with this mod! The mod'ing is never finished. This phenomenon from what I've been told is called 'Butt Jewelry'. If they ever ride it, it will be just around town to a dealership to look around or putsin here or there, but never get it out and ride the S#$t out of it on the open road. You know anyone like that?

Yep! I know lots of people like that....I sold my last bike to one as a matter of fact. The bike now sits as a statue on his front porch! Its a shame but to each his own.

Known many over the years. You can always tell when their 10 year old bike shows up on Ebay with 2,000 miles. They also tend to think their bikes are worth a fortune!

My future son-in-law rides his 2006 Street Glide, but mostly just locally. He bought it 6/6/2006. He now has 12,500 miles on it. My 2011 Road King that I got 8/23/11 now has 14,850 miles on it.

My co-worker last drove his 2003 Fatboy, ( that currently has 3200 total miles on it,) to it's 2011 inspection last year.

It's now due for it's 2012 inspection next week. No exaggeration.

Im guilty bought my SG 9/2010 it almost has 3500 miles on it but I don't do mods or sit on it. its just none of my friends have bikes
