Rode home from work this morning at 6 am. Stuck some ribs in the smoker, took a nap around 8:30, got up and made some potato salad. One of my younger brothers is riding over this afternoon for dinner and the fireworks show over the lake. Tomorrow, we're going to ride around the back side of Mt Ranier.
Happy, 4th, gentlemen.
ribs sound good. What u got bb or spare you using a 3-2-1 method or just straight smokeing no foil?
U using coal, pellet or stick burner for a smoker?
No riding for me today. Stuck at work. No big loss, since it was pushing 100 degrees and so much smoke from the wildfires you can't see anything anyway and the air stinks. Screw it, there's always tomorrow!
Wife and I rode 50 miles to check out a car show was 100 by the time we got there. Checked out the car and said let get out of here. Rode home. Alway love going for a ride but when it is that hot takes a little of the fun out of it. Course I was just thinking about where I could ride tomorrow. What a dumb a$$.
Absolutely gorgeous day for riding in Montana. Made a nice loop through the Pintlers, Georgetown lake, over to Wisdom and back over Lost Trail. About a 300 mile day. Perfect weather. High = 72, low at elevation = low 60's. Great day. Wife had to work, so just made it a solo trip. Saw a ton of bikes out doing the same thing! Checked my mileage and it was 40.95 mpg. OK I guess, since I got after it pretty good through the canyons. Enjoy your 4th.
I got in 140 mi today at a chilly 92°. Rained around me but I didn't get wet. I rode on some wet roads as I got close to home. Really enjoyed it as I'm working out of town and can't bring the bike.
An all American day! At my wife's suggestion, we went out on an early ride, leaving aroung 10:30, heading west into the countryside to find some BBQ ribs to bring home for dinner. In the sweltering heat of the afternoon, I installed Heritage-style bars on my RKC and new get-a-grip grips. Then an evening ride to try out the new setup. Then home for the BBQ, corn on the cob and potato salad. Now watching the fireworks on TV and sipping scotch (I know, I know, it should be bourbon to make it really American).
