ohh ok sounds right i was planning on using the one with the red cover on it for the spotlights had the ignition when checking

The orange wire with the white stripe is the one that provides power when you install Harley's kit. It is the same gauge as the stock set up. It does look a little weak but I assume they have a relay somewhere and I haven't had a problem and I leave mine on all the time since a near miss with a car.

The wires are there for the Harley HID headlight option, that nobody ever uses. I use mine to power the GPS.

so this wire should work for power for spotlights

If you don't already have spots I can't say. I'm sure that it runs through a relay and thats why the wires are such small gauge.
