This may be a silly question, but did you try looking for a shop who would do your cams AND deal with the PC-V instead of just going to the dealer who is trying to "steer" you into buying an SE tuner?
I realize tuners recommend the device they are most comfortable working with, but you may have an indy shop or another dealer within a reasonable distance that will accommodate what you have.
I wanted a Harley dealer ONLY for bike warranty purposes.
Why would you get cams installed at the dealer??? They are going to rape you on labor! Go to an INDY shop that has experienced mechs and a good dyno. I am sure they would work with the PC! Or just look on here for the thread to do the cams yourself then take it somewhere to get tuned! But you HAVE to get a tune for that thing to run right with a cam install... Every bike is different. My opinion!
Why would you get cams installed at the dealer??? Bike Warranty
Or just look on here for the thread to do the cams yourself: It's like changing my oil. I can do it. I just don't want to.
But you HAVE to get a tune for that thing to run right with a cam install: I just need the map to get the bike running. Then I'll take it to a tuner.
Have you contacted dyno jet directly? Maybe they can steer you in the right direction. They have a list of facilities in your area that support their products.
I think you're "over worried" about warranty. Even with the dealer installing your cams, I believe that all SE stuff is "for off-road and racing use only", meaning that it's a non-warrantied item. Your individual dealer may honor some sort of in-house warranty, but I don't believe the moco will. And if they'd harrass you over the warranty, they'd also harrass you about using a PC vs. a SEPST.
