I've been wearing a helmetless headset for about 3 years now. I had two fail so far. The first one the cord failed and the second one I have now had a speaker go out. When I'm on the highway I normally wear earplugs under the speaker so I'm aware I have to have the volumn way up.
I've used the same brand / model each time. They replaced the first when the cord failed under warrantry. I've done the troubleshooting and determined the cord on this second one is good it's one of the speakers that has failed.
What brand does anyone recommend. Does one have better quality sound or mic better than another.
The 2 I've had fail were from Sierra Electronics. When the first one failed under warrantry they replaced it no questions asked.
When I called back when it failed the second time the guy in customer service asked what I wanted for $75.00. It was out of warranty by the way. I have since looked around and there are cheaper ones on the market. I just want a good quality headset and not pay Harley dealer prices.
Let's try this one more time. I'm ready to purchase a new helmetless headset and wondering if anyone has any recommendations who to buy from beside the Harley dealer.
