The key is to NOT loosen the stock trim ring. Just slip the new one one over the stock one and tighten it. Mine fits perfect with no gaps.

I put one over mine (per instructions) and had a big gap.
Didn't like it and trying to get away from the cover over a cover thing.
Lame IMO.

I might try it like Race Face says though, but I'll probably leave it as is.
Not a big deal to me.

I had the regular frenched visor on the headlight to hide the light after changing to a Phase 7 LED, then I changed all my lamps to the visor type. Didn't have a gap on either.
