I've lived in three different areas and read about weather around the world and people bitch about their local weather like it's the worst.
How many of you people have said "If you don't like the weather, wait five minutes and it will change”? They all say it.
I live in Texas because I hated the snow country.

well, when you are across the pond, there tends to be a little bit more rain, Just the nature of the way the gulf stream works, at least that is what I have heard. Stay dry young chappy, and always; shinny side yup.
