Buying a 2011 FXDC. I spent a bag full of cash, stage 1, new seat, new bars and risers, LED turn signals, forward controls, saddlebags and ghost brackets..... traded it in 1 year later for my FLHX!
Not me. I moved up 1 year from my 2009 FXDC to my 2010 FLHTP w 103 and ABS for $3250. Bikes each had less than 5k in miles. One of the better trades I made.
Not because of the unit, but because I didn't find out it ALREADY had one hidden in the side panel until I broke a bag mount and removed the side panel to get to the torx screws. There sat a PCV, I was pissed.
When I installed the one I purchased the connectors looked the same as stock wiring and it wasn't under the seat as it states to mount it. Very slick where they mounted it and makes perfect sense to have it under that right side panel, there's even a comparment to velco it down. I bought this bike from a dealer online and had it shipped to the house in the middle of winter - that's faith. But prior to, I talked with the last owner that traded it in and he said the SE breather was the only mod on the bike. Not so much.
That's right, I daisy chained 2 PCVs and it still ran...albeit rich. Even the local indi didn't catch it and they did 2 dynos on it. $300 + 2 hours of dyno wasted.
