Noticed Im getting a strong vibration about 4000 rpms and above I can feel it in floorboards as well as elsewhere I don't notice it at lower rpms and don't remember having it previously. I have a 2011 FLTRU 103 with a stage 1
Any ideas on where to look ?
Check your engine & tranny mounts for tight or loose bolts. Check the alignment of your belt on the 2 sprockets.
how does it shift? is it hard to find neutral? Open the inspection plate on the primary & check the chain for proper tension. Too loose or too tight will cause problems.
Keep us posted!
Hatch.
I would check the air pressure on your shocks, as well as they should be torqued to only 40 ft. lbs. Hows your tire wear, any cupping could cause vibration.
My current ride 2010 FLHTK is my first Harley with a tach, and my first 6 speed.
I cruise at 2500-2800 RPM's 99% of the time. Most the shifting is between 3000 and maybe 3500 rpm's. I think that I've only get to 4000 plus rpm's running 5th gear up some hills or on ramps. Do a lot of run your engines in the 4000 to 5000 rpm's for long periods? (If you do I don't think you'll even see a 100,000 miles on her without doing a top end job. These aren't sport bikes with overhead cam motors).

I see a new header pipe on that bike. Take a string (eyes play funny things) and run that string all over the exhaust. If something is very close, like down near the tranny mount, maybe it is rubbing on the bike.
I am going to guess that the front head pipe is touching the right foot board mount...Most people don't know to space the mount out with the spacers provided in the kit...have any left over parts after installing the pipes?
