Ok.. besides installing a new relay and direct start switch on the starter ( another thread) .... any ideas on how to keep your battery connections tight? When I get the infamous starter "click".. I take off my seat and find the battery connections are snug..but not tight..I retighten as far as I dare..but would it be ok to use some loctite? any other ideas???
Remove the bolt, install a stud with a nut to lock the stud in place.
Install a washer on the nut then the cables, follow with another washer and nut.
Hold the bottom nut and tighten the top nut, you should be able to get it tighter than with the stock bolt.
Basically bottom nut locks stud to the battery and the top nut tightens against the bottom nut, this has worked for me in the past.

But you still end up with the same problem.. I'm trying to keep the bolt that's in the battery from loosening up.. the only way I can see that working is to have the stud go all the way thru the boss that the bolt goes into..and have a locknut on the backside to keep it tight..
I have my direct starter switch on the starter..but I don't want to have to take the thing apart again in a parking lot to start it..
