I realy like the looks of extended bag and the extra storage would be a nice plus. I have concerns of them dragging in the corners, I see skid plates, but spending over $1000 for bags that will have to be fixed every couple years I don't like.
I have Bad Dad, along with their fender. I was very impressed with them out of the box, and was super happy to get my bill later from the body shop that said they were basically ready to paint. So, prep work was minimal. I don't have any experience with the others, but my body shop has molded some extenders on other bags, they turned out nice looking but no room gained inside, and took a ton of time for prep.
I've heard a lot of great reviews from people about Bad Dad and their customer service. Heard a couple not so good things from shops and painters about them though. I really want the shaved bags that have no visible latches and only Bad Dad makes those. I'd really rather the ABS that Shope uses though as it is stronger and most like (same as?) Harley bags.
On a related subject: If I do buy the shaved bags from Bad Dad I'd really like to buy the fender from them too. Seems the 3 might match better being made by the same company. I'm turned off by the fact that Bad Dad's is only a fender cover though, instead of a whole fender like FBI. Even FBI isn't the perfect answer as I'd rather see it be steel, or even ABS, instead of fiberglass.
Anyone know what your fender looks like after you take off one of these Bad Bad fender covers?
