Default Adding Eye Candy

In the last month I've been adding a few bolt on chrome pieces to add my personal touch to my Ultra. I've done the heel and toe shifter pegs and the foot brake pedal and now I'm looking at the floorboards. I use to own a Suzuki Intruder and I modified the floorboards by adding in some polished aluminum strips. They looked great but they did get scratched by my shoes. When they looked real bad I would sand out the aluminum and re polish it.
My question is to those that have bought and installed the Harley Davidson insterts. How well have they held up and if you had to do it again would you spend the cash on them?

I've had the flame floorboard inserts on for about a year and they still look good. The rubber is up higher than the chrome which helps protect it from you feet.

My streetglide came with Steamliner inserts. 4000 miles and they are holding up pretty good. Very minor scratching on the chrome. It is not really noticeable.

If you have deep tread on your boots you can pick up gravel and scratch the chrome but other than that they hold up well. One nice thing about the HD boards is they add some extra cushion for rider comfort.

I'm doing good just not enough ride time. We still have a nice layer of ice on the roads from the last winter storm.

Yea, that's what I thought. Weather said 9 degrees up your way this morning I think. Pretty cold and wet here today and probably ice tomorrow. Yesterday we had 70s.
