I haven't posted for over a year, but now I guess I'll be roaming around the touring boards to learn all the ins and outs of the new ride.
I traded in the old wide glide for a 2012 Road King. I don't know why I waited so long to get a touring bike. I have owned it for less than a week and have over 700 miles on it. Waiting for the new bars to arrive, got them to throw in the heritage style bars for now. I figure I can live with that while I work on making the rest of the bike more me.
Probably should have mentioned it to the wife before I did it, those who say it is easier to beg for forgiveness than ask for permission have never met my wife. She wasn't real happy with me riding up and saying, "look what I spent $15,000 on!"

Most of the guys who say that to me have been divorced at least once. lol
You're still alive, she couldn't have been TOO mad! Jk : ) I can imagine the nights on the couch just thinking about coming home with a new 15k toy without approval. Nice bike though!
Nice ride, I just have 900 miles on my 2012 two tone red. I am loving it so far. I am not planning on changing my bars, but might if I can check out one with the Heritage bars installed. I am lucky tho, I mentioned to the wife about the RK and trading in the Sportster, go for it she says!
